Journey to the 'Shangri-La' of the Southwest – Havasu Canyon, the Land of Blue Green Waters, with photographer Suzanne Mathia. This small branch of the Grand Canyon contains three of the most beloved waterfalls in the American West – Mooney, Navajo and Havasupai.
Amidst the Supai Nation, Havasu Canyon is a lush canyon paradise of spring-fed, turquoise waters that wander through islands of wavy, lush seep-willow and sculptured terraces of travertine.
From our outfitter-based camp, you wake to the sounds of rushing water to photograph the stunning scenery both up and down stream. Under the expert guidance of Havasu Canyon photographer Suzanne Mathia, you will learn techniques for capturing long exposure waterfalls, panoramas, grand landscapes and scenic vignettes.
All camping gear, tents, meals and transportation is included in your workshop fee. We will be transported by helicopter from the hilltop to the Supai Village where we will hike the remaining two miles to camp. So, grab your gear, hiking and water shoes and get ready to photograph Arizona’s paradise.
