Dancing Duma Luxury Safari Camp – An epic way to experience a safari, offering a uniquely different approach for photographers!

McKay Photography Academy is planning our return wildlife photography safari to Tanzania in 2026 and would love to share this amazing place and the incredible Serengeti with you! We know it will be a life-changing experience you will never forget!

In Tanzania, we have now completed nearly 25 photographic safaris over the last 10 years! We have observed that most safaris, as well as safari companies, are not truly focused on quality, but rather on quantity. How many locations can you visit to feel you have experienced a variety of places? We have learned that this is not the best way to safari, and without a doubt, there is a far better approach for photographers! We have decided to change the way we safari, and it has been absolutely fantastic!

Instead of going on safari and visiting 4-5 locations every two days, spending excessive time travelling from one place to another and feeling exhausted while constantly packing, we have focused our efforts on staying in one location. This allows us to maximise the abundant opportunities in the Serengeti while enjoying a lovely home base!

The Serengeti is home to the most abundant wildlife in the world, and with over 6 million square miles, those who only spend one or two days there never truly encounter what exists! It is far better to spend your time actually on safari rather than driving from one location to the next, packing and unpacking, and wasting precious time that could be spent photographing incredible wildlife at wonderful times of day!

Our McKay Photo Safaris spend seven nights in the Serengeti at Dancing Duma camp, and we also offer an optional two-to-three-day extension to locations such as Ngorongoro Crater. We have found this to be the very best way to enjoy a photographic safari, and our clients who have been with us recently feel the same way! Many have gone on safari with us two to three times and believe there is no better way to experience the best wildlife in the world!
