For photography enthusiasts and wildlife lovers alike, there is no greater thrill than capturing the raw beauty of nature. This new workshop, Framing Africa, is designed to help both beginners and enthusiasts learn their cameras and the specifics of wildlife photography while immersed in some of the world’s most stunning wildlife. Taking place in South Africa’s iconic Timbavati Nature Reserve, this workshop aims to provide a truly memorable, exciting, and memory-card-filling experience.
Expect to see and photograph many of Africa’s most iconic species, from powerful lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants, and buffalo to graceful giraffes, zebras, and cheeky hyenas! And, of course, we can’t forget about the iconic birdlife and nightlife! From the moment you are picked up at the airport, each day is distinctly different. Each game drive will focus on photography, whether technical or creative, and the time spent back at our eco-conscious camp will be dedicated to specific seminars and exercises for an ongoing learning experience.
Many aspiring photographers struggle with the technical aspects of their cameras, often feeling overwhelmed by the settings, buttons, and features that can make or break a perfect shot. Additionally, deciding what to do with their images while sitting at a laptop can also become an overwhelming and frustrating experience. This workshop takes a refreshing approach by allowing participants to learn in real time and providing support every step of the way to ensure that the process is not only a positive one but also an enjoyable one.
These workshops are hosted by two photographers, Samuel Cox and Jordi Woerts, who together boast over 20 years of experience in wildlife photography. Having both Sam and Jordi on board brings a wealth of benefits, providing participants with diverse perspectives, varied teaching styles, and personalised attention. Attendees can receive tailored advice based on their individual skill levels and interests, and the dual approach also enables more hands-on support in the field, ensuring a well-rounded and enriched learning experience.
Framing Africa provides an exciting, unique, and collaborative approach to learning photography while creating lasting memories. Whether you aim to capture your first professional-quality photograph or wish to enhance your skills in one of the world’s most photogenic locations, this workshop presents an unparalleled opportunity for you!
