Join me in London from August 4 to 10, 2025, to explore the challenging and rewarding genre of street photography. Our experience together will include group discussions in which we will consider different styles, ways of working and approaches to street photography, image sharing, group photo walks, one-on-one photo walks, and personal time for each participant to photograph on their own if they desire. We will also take advantage of opportunities to practice cityscape photography.

Limited to six participants, each workshop begins with an introductory dinner on the first evening, and concludes on the evening of the sixth day with a closing dinner. The first and seventh days, then, are essentially travel days. The workshop registration fee is $2,000, including the opening and closing dinners. Participants are welcome to arrange for their own lodging and meals.

A package price of $4850 is also available, which includes workshop tuition, six single-occupancy hotel nights, all meals during the workshop, (excluding alcohol), beginning with dinner on day one and concluding with dinner on day six, transportation during the workshop, and gratuities for local guides. (As your workshop leader, I do not expect or accept gratuities.) Couples and friends traveling together can share a room at a $800 discount per person.

Not included: Airfare to the destination city, transfers between the airport and the host hotel, morning and noon meals, passport and visa fees, if applicable, and travel insurance, which is recommended but not required. In-field assistance: My priority is to offer each participant the assistance they want and need to make good images and get the most out of their workshop experience.

Daily Itinerary

07:30: Group breakfast

08:30-10:30: Morning photo walks around Soho, Chinatown, Piccadilly, and Covent Garden. We will work in groups of two or three rather than as one larger group. Participants who may prefer to photograph on their own will be welcome to do so.

10:30-Noon: Discussion of approaches to street photography and image reviews.

Noon-13:30: Group lunch, then free time.

13:30-16:30: Afternoon photo walks in the Barbican, Shoreditch, the Underground, along the Thames Southbank. Allowing for drive time, we will have at least two hours of photography each afternoon.

16:30-17:30: Free time – Mark will be available for one-on-one photo walks in the historic centre before dinner.

17:30-19:00: Group dinner

Blue Hour Photography: For participants who are also interested in cityscape photography, we will have opportunities in the evening to photograph blue hour along the Thames River.
