Olympic Peninsula Photography Workshop

The Olympic Peninsula is the jewel of Northwestern Washington State and home to a vibrant and diverse ecosystem. It includes some of the only temperate rain forests in the world and beaches that are famous worldwide for their immense, wild and natural beauty. Photographer Suzanne Mathia looks forward to taking you on an unforgettable exploration of the amazing landscapes and fabulous beaches, focusing on the timing and techniques required to make spectacular images in these incredible locations.

During the workshop we will photograph Point Wilson Lighthouse, Hurricane Ridge, Sol Duc and Marymere Falls, Lake Crescent, the Elwha Valley, the Hoh and Quinault Rain Forests, as well as the rugged coastline of Ruby, Rialto, First and Second beaches where sea stacks, tide pools and rocky shorelines amassed in huge driftwood logs make for great foregrounds.

Join us for this tremendous opportunity to explore the photographic possibilities of this ancient and primeval land. In field guidance, classroom presentations and image critiques for each student will emphasize creating those one-of-a-kind images.
