This 8 day photography tour and workshop visits the best locations in Ireland that I have discovered during my 30 years as a landscape photographer around the southern peninsulas of the Wild Atlantic Way.
We will be based in Killarney for 3 nights, near to the lakes and Ireland’s highest mountain range. We then move west to Caherciveen with 2 nights at the edge of the Ring of Kerry and Skellig Ring and the home of the Kerry International Dark Sky Reserve. Then it’s on to my home ground with 2 nights in Dingle, with its easy access to some of the most spectacular seascapes in Ireland. Accommodation is single room at luxury and quality hotels and guest houses including breakfast every day.
Areas and locations of interest along the way include Killarney National Park, The Beara Peninsula, The Gougane Barra, The Black Valley, The Skellig Ring, Valentia Island and The Dingle Peninsula. Although we will visit many iconic locations, we will always aim to do so at the best times to avoid any crowds and obtain good light, while spending as much of our time as possible on single track roads, exploring the more remote and scenic areas.
Any level of photography ability is welcome, along with any camera from a phone to DSLR and film, as we will work towards improving your knowledge, technique and composition throughout the tour.
