This autumn foliage Photo Tour is a multi-day adventure in western Maine and the White Mountains of New Hampshire. You will concentrate on photographing waterfalls and covered bridges, but there is much more to see. The area is rich in geographical beauty with the Mahoosuc and Presidential Mountain Ranges, Grafton Notch, Maine Public Reserve Lands, and the Androscoggin River Valley.
As you journey through the region on our daily scenic excursions, your other photo opportunities include meandering streams, stunning river valleys, impressive mountain vistas, gorges, farms, quaint New England villages, night sky, and possibly some wildlife.
You will be led to the area’s best shooting spots and will have help with composition and camera handling techniques. In addition, you will learn ways to expand your photographic eye. There will be individual reviews of your images in the field, at the lodge, and in many group discussions. All skill levels and all camera types are welcome.
The price does not include lodging – more details, including a sample itinerary on the website.
Dee Peppe, a longtime Maine resident, fine-art photographer, and professor at the University of Maine, brings a unique combination of local knowledge and teaching experience to the itinerary of every tour. While covering camera techniques, she strives to show you ways to expand your vision and increase your awareness of your surroundings. In addition, she will help you understand the camera controls that can support your vision and, overall, help you see the world through your camera more creatively.
