One of the most magical reserves in southern Africa, Madikwe Game Reserve is nestled in the North West province of South Africa, bordering Botswana. Geographically, Madikwe lies in the transition zone between the Kalahari Desert and the Lowveld, offering a unique landscape ideal for stunning photographs.
Madikwe is renowned for its exceptional wildlife sightings, featuring elephant herds, rhinos with their horns intact, cheetah coalitions, African wild dogs, and multiple lion prides. The reserve boasts hundreds of bird species, abundant general game, and a more open landscape than the Kruger region, providing unrivalled potential for top-tier wildlife photography amidst beautiful scenery.
With professional wildlife photographer Samuel Cox as your guide, you will be met in Johannesburg before embarking on a six-night adventure in Madikwe. Your accommodation will be a small, luxury bush lodge where all drinks and meals are included, offering a perfect oasis to relax amidst nature.
Between activities, there will be ample time for editing, photo tuition, recharging batteries, and, of course, downtime. The lodge features an underground photographic hide (accessible 24/7) overlooking a popular waterhole, ensuring unlimited potential for capturing wildlife even when at the lodge.
Being part of a small group of 4-6 participants ensures plenty of space and flexibility in our private vehicle, as well as more time for personalized tuition and guidance. This action-packed region never fails to deliver, ensuring you leave with an expansive portfolio of exciting imagery and lifelong memories.
