Namibia is a terrific, wild place and a unique paradise for nature photographers. It offers great landscape opportunities in the tallest sand dunes in the world at Sossuvlei, ancient dead trees of Deadvlei and amongst unusual trees in the Quiver Tree Forest, as well as scenes of boulder-strewn landscapes in the Spitzkoppe region. We will explore and photograph desert-adapted wildlife in the Damaraland region and amazing wildlife in Etosha National Park, as well as flocks of flamingos on the coast. Add to this an all day visit to the iconic desert ghost town of Kolmanskop, and you have a mix of photographic subjects and locations that will inspire and amaze you. Unlike many tours that just scratch the surface – the iconic highlights – our journey runs a bit longer and takes you further into areas that many other tours don’t go as often.
Pro photographers Brenda Tharp and Wendy Kaveney will lead this tour. Collectively, we have been to Namibia over 10 times! We know the areas we will visit intimately and we will offer our expertise and advice for making the best pictures you can at each location.
You will learn techniques to improver your landscape and wildlife photography, including birds, night photography (weather permitting) and have an incredible adventure. Wendy and Brenda will continually share tips and techniques and there will be time for one-on-one critiques along the way, so bring your laptops or iPads to share images. Join us and experience all that Namibia has to offer.
