Escalante and the Grand Staircase Photo Workshop Sep 2020

This is a backcountry adventure that will take you to amazing photo destinations to capture slot canyons, hoodoos, river washes, slickrock and waterfalls. Flanking the southern border of Utah lies a 200 million year old staircase of sedimentary erosion that is filled with endless geological wonders. While you will want to break out your hiking shoes for the 3-5 mile hikes, the rewards will be picture perfect.

Photographer Laurence Parent has been hiking this expansive wilderness for more than 30 years. He knows the hidden gems and perfect locations to photograph sweeping vistas of cliffs, terraces, arches, canyons and more.

Our photo excursions will take us to Hell’s Backbone, Hole-in-the-Rock Road, Peek-A-Boo Canyon and Spooky Gulch, as well as the unique hoodoos in Devils Garden and the flowing, falls at Lower Calf Creek, so grab your gear and join us for this outdoor adventure.
